A charter broker knows which operators fly which aircraft on which routings, what they quoted last time and how to write to them. That knowledge is what the margin pays for. Charter Desk was built so a forwarder can hold it in-house and run charters direct.
Five things the desk will not do
Send anything to an operator without a person approving the draft.
The draft is editable, and the approval is recorded.
Confirm a booking.
The desk proposes and a person decides, whatever the settings.
State a price the record does not support.
A price comes from a quote or a previous rate on the routing, or the desk does not give one.
Pretend to be a person.
Every message leaves over the name of the person who approved it, with a line saying it was drafted by an AI charter desk, so the operator knows who wrote it and who is accountable for it.
Act quietly.
Everything it does is in the thread and the audit trail, with the person who approved it.

The agent
An AI agent built on Claude. It reads and writes a charter's record through a small set of fixed actions: match aircraft, shortlist operators, draft outreach, read a reply into a quote, compare quotes, record a flight event.
The rules
Each action carries its own rule about who may use it and when. Reading and drafting is free. Anything that leaves your company needs an approval. Confirming a booking needs a person, always. Those rules are in the code, not in a prompt, so no setting and no instruction can move them.
The thread
Every charter is a thread and the thread is the record. When nobody is in the thread the desk keeps working: it reads operator replies, chases an operator gone quiet and asks about a flight nobody has reported, and it tells you rather than acting alone.

For forwarders anywhere a charter flies
Charter Desk works in any market: the operators, aircraft and routings it knows are not tied to one region. We are onboarding a small number of forwarders now, working their live enquiries alongside them before the desk runs on its own.
